Almost 4 years ago I was living in Las Vegas, NV. I was young but i worked a full time job and was living a carefree life. The one thing that i did remember to do was VOTE! I went to vote for Barack Obama. I like what he stood for and realized  his values were similar to most hard working individuals. He started off as a hard working man himself and so was his parents. He did not come from money. He knows what it is like to struggle and work for what you want. He has been in "our" shoes before.

Four years have passed and i still feel the same way about him. He has improved a lot of things for our communities. He has done things that create more job opportunities and he has made it possible for so many people to get health coverage that did not have any. His wife, Michelle Obama gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention. One of her quotes i found very interesting.

"He is the same man who started his career by turning down high paying jobs and instead worked in struggling neighborhoods, where a steel plant had shutdown, fighting to rebuild communities and get folks back to work. Beacause for Barack, success isn't about how much money you make. It is about the difference you make in people's lives."

I know that everybody has their own opinions on Obama and what he stands for. I just want people to do their research and make sure that you make an "educated" decision when it comes to picking a president. I say "educated" because i think that you need to make your decisions based on facts and not what you hear in the media. Do a little research and you could learn alot.

Every vote counts! With that being said, please make sure that you take time out of your busy schedules to go out and vote in November. I hear a lot of people complaining about what they don't like that's being done and what they want the "President" to do and what they do not want the President to do. Your vote is your opinion! Do not have expectations and not make sure to research who you are voting for. You can not listen to everything you hear in the media. Make sure to vote!

I found this photo comparison of Michelle Obama watching her husband give a speech, and Coretta Scott King attending her husband's funeral.
