My Husband has to report to his new command on June 10, 2013. We are still not sure when we will leave San Diego yet. He's already been on leave for 16 days. June 9th is his last day of leave.
We are excited about his new relaxed work schedule. The dept that he will work in gets off work at 2pm daily and they have weekends off. His sponsor did not mention anything about Duty Days so I'm not sure how those will work. We are very happy about weekends off. He has worked a very demanding schedule these last two years.
Has anybody been stationed in Kings Bay, GA or Jacksonville, FL. Jacksonville is about 45 minutes away from Kings Bay and I'm sure that's where I will be at all the time. I'm not a fan of small cities and Jacksonville is more city life! lol

ReplyDeleteyea for weekends off! you will LOVE jacksonville. that is where my love lives. he does not like it too much, but do we really like the town we grew up in? there is TONS to do, you weekends will be well spent! beaches, night life, huge mall etc. check online and search things to do in jax and kings bay that are free or low cost. enjoy and safe PCS!!!
