Cayden has started pulling up and standing. He's a speed crawler. lol. He will walk on furniture and anything else he can use to walk with. Our entertainment center in the living room is his favorite. He will stand up and play with everything on the entertainment center. I have baby proofed the house so there's nothing in his way that could hurt him.

We have baby gates up so that he can't get to things that he shouldn't be able to play with or things that are not safe for him. He has 8 teeth now. 4 at the top and 4 at the bottom. His lip covers the two front teeth at the top and we think he might have a lip tie. Remember when he was born he had a tongue tie.

He's very independent and tries to put his clothes on while i'm putting them on. He tries to put his arms into the seat belt slots in his car seat while i'm trying to do it. He even tries to sit up on his changing table while i'm changing him. lol. I have to keep laying him down because he keeps sitting up which makes it impossible for me to change him.

He's crawling fast but not walking yet. I do not think he will walk by his first birthday. He's still scared when he stands up and has to let go of whatever he's holding onto.

11.10.14 Baby boy turned 10 months. He learned how to crawl. Has 6 teeth and never had a problem with teething because he wears his Amber Teething Necklace. Eats everything he sees. There's no food that he does not currently like.

He's no longer on a bottle. He has transitioned to a sippy cup with a handle on it. This took about two days for him to get use to. The first day was okay. He would drink from the cup after a few mintues of playing with it each time. Then when he wanted some milk in the middle of the night he got fussy and frustrated and refused to drink from the cup. I stuck to it and didnt give him a bottle. When he finally woke up hungry in the morning he decided to drink from his cup. He's been on a cup ever since then.

I let him feed himself Apple Cherrios for Breakfast and some Gerber Strawberry Yogurt Bites. I feed him his other meals and let him feed himself snacks. Whenever i let him try to feed himself other meals he just plays with it. It has to be something small and easy for him to pick up. Such as chicken nuggets cut into small pieces. He can handle that by himself also.

My baby boy is 9 months. He's learning how to pull up but still will not crawl. He would rather scoot or find another way to get stuff. He will even roll to get what he wants. lol.

He's still super spoiled and holds his hands out and makes a whining noise when he wants me to pick him up. I've been leaving him on the floor with his toys more often. We are really trying to encourage him to crawl!

He's pretty interested in walking. He enjoys his time in the walker and will walk all over the place. He loves standing up and holding onto stuff. Maybe he will walk before he crawls.

I've posted a few new videos of him on my YouTube channel. Please subscribe and watch some of his videos!

Cayden is trying to Crawl and he's also talking a lot. He can finally say DADA. Every time I tell him to say MAMA he laughs. lol. It's so cute. He's still a little guy compared to all the other babies. He's almost 17lbs.

Last month he started scooting around on the floor. The week he turned 7 months, two teeth started to cut through. He's super active. Loves to play and make noise. He sleeps very good! Bedtime is around 7 or 8pm and he wakes up between 6:30-9am.

He now wants to eat everything he sees. Especially our food. He loves the baby food that I feed him twice a day but I also have to feed him whatever I'm eating. The only things that I avoid letting him taste for now are, chocolate, peanut butter, seafood and red meat. He drinks a bottle every 3-4 hours and drinks between 6 and 8 ounces per bottle I give him two bottles throughout the night but he never wakes up. I also change his diaper twice during the night.

I post pictures daily of him on my Instagram and videos weekly of him on my Youtube channel. I haven't had much time to blog over the last few months. So find me on Instagram and Youtube for now!!

We have been putting Cayden on the floor more often so that he can start rolling over more. Right now he only rolls if he's at the right position and he's able to. He doesn't just roll from his back to his stomach and vise versa.

He's still sleeping through the night. We have increased his feedings from 4oz to 6oz. I was giving him 4oz but he was drinking them more frequently then the normal 3 hour schedule that he has been on since birth. It's not really a schedule that we have set for him, he's just on his own schedule and it works for all of us.

He loves to kick his legs and tries to move them like he's crawling when he's on his stomach. He can lift his head up pretty high when he's on his back also. It looks like he's going to lift his self up and get up. lol.  It's so adorable. He's growing up!

This week Cayden has been reaching for us and grabbing things. If something is in front of him he will reach for it and grab it. Everything he gets his hands on goes straight to his mouth. He's still teething but he wears his Amber Teething Necklace, which keeps all the pain and irritability away. That thing is a lifesaver. If you haven't purchased one for your teething baby, then you need to ASAP. We haven't had any pain or discomfort since Cayden has been teething.

Cayden has been playing with more of his toys this week. I've had him in his walker and his bouncy toy. He sits in both and plays with the toys for a few minutes. They do not hold his attention for long. I've been introducing him to these two toys so that he can sit up more and also get use to being in them.

He still doesn't hold his own bottle but he tries to. I try to give him some milk in his sippy cup a few times everyday so that he can learn to suck from the sippy cup. I'm introducing him to it slowly. He literally just sucks from the cup, a few minutes each day. The sippy cup has handles on it so he might start holding the sippy cup before he ever actually holds his bottle. lol.

Cayden has been eating more foods this week. We let him sample most things that we eat. If it's not super soft then I will smash it up so that it's soft so he can taste it. He still doesn't know how to just swallow what we give him so he plays with it in his mouth and pushes it out his mouth a few times before he finally pushes it to the back of his mouth and swallows.

It's so exciting watching him grow and learn new things. He loves interacting with people. Always smiling at strangers. You would think he actually knows people the way he smiles at them. My baby is getting big and growing out of his clothes. This week has passed by so fast. He will be 6 months soon!

My baby is officially 5 months. Which means my Husband and I have survived 5 months of parenthood! How awesome is that !?!

Cayden tries to hold his bottles but he doesn't know how to do it all by himself yet. I'm going to start introducing the baby cups to him twice a day. They are sippy cups but they have the soft spout and feels similiar to a baby bottle nipple. Lets see how this turns out. I'm hoping we can transition to sippy cups within the next few months.

Cayden really knows who his parents are and he knows which one of us he wants and at what time he wants us. lol. It's so funny to see him look at one of us and smile and start getting so excited. When my Husband comes home from work Cayden  gets excited and wants him to pick him up. He can't reach for us but he can open his arms and sort of put his hands up. I'm assuming that's his version of reaching. lol

Cayden has been laughing and smiling a lot. He loves to play and giggle. He's been sampling a lot of our food that we eat. We are planning to start feeding him baby food when he's 6 months. So that's about another month from now. I can tell that he's ready for food. He's not really interested in his formula but I make sure he finishes his bottles because I want to be sure that he gets all his nutrients.

Cayden is still teething and he's been fussy a few times this past week when I took his Amber Teething necklace off. I had to take it off because he had a raw spot in his neck area. This is from him drooling constantly.

He has also been fussy around nap time. I'm not sure if this is related to him teething or not, but he wants to sleep in my arms a lot. When I go to lay him down he either wakes up or cries sometimes. Maybe this is a phase that he's going through. I hope my baby is not acting spoiled. lol

The Child Development Center (CDC) on base offers drop in hourly child care when there's space available. I dropped Cayden off for 5 hours on Friday so that I can get things done around the house, run errands and go grocery shopping. When all of that was done, The husband and I, was able to go and see a movie also. My husband normally only works a few hours on Friday so his schedule allowed us some time together. That was our first date without the baby since he has been born. When we go places, even the movies, we always take the baby with us.

Taking Cayden to the CDC also gives me some time to myself. Since we do not have any family around us this is how we get help with the baby. It works for him to because he loves the staff and they love him. He's a people watcher so he enjoys watching the other babies run around and crawl around.

Cayden has become more active this week. He stays woke longer. Still takes a ton of naps but he doesn't nap for long periods of time anymore. He was drinking 4oz per feeding. He's not on a schedule so I feed him when ever he's hungry. This week he has started drinking less milk. About 2-3 ounces per feeding.  I also give him baby cereal once a day. Since he's drinking less milk I'm going to start giving him cereal twice a day.

I think he's drinking less because he wants some food now. He stares at us when we eat so we now put a little of whatever we are having on our finger and let him taste it. Not everything, just some stuff like if we have something that has juice or sauce in it, we will put some of that on our finger. When we eat watermelon we let him lick/suck on a big piece so that it doesn't break off in his mouth, and only for a few seconds. It's like he's sampling foods. He's still very gasy but the gas has not been upsetting his stomach since I changed his formula to Gerber Soothe.

I noticed that he starts to rub and touch his eyes when he's tired. This is something new. He also likes to touch and tap things with his hands. He doesn't really try to grab stuff yet. If you hand him something then he will grab it from you but I haven't seen him reaching for things yet.

Cayden has officially grown out of most of his size 0-3 Month clothes. There's still some that he can fit. I've been taking pictures of his stuff and selling it on Ebay in Lots.

I had to change his Formula from Gerber Soy to Gerber Soothe because he has been having excessive gas lately. I'm hoping this change will help him. The gas has been having him wake up crying and fussing. The Doctor said it could take up to two weeks for the Soy Formula to flush out of his system. Which means it will take about two weeks for me to notice a change in him.

We purchased a Door Way Jumper for Cayden and he loves it. He doesn't really jump yet but he bounces a lot. The music really gets him excited. I'm not sure why he doesn't jump yet because as soon as you stand him up on your lap he will start to jump. lol. Maybe he's trying to figure out how to properly use his new toy.

Cayden is 4 months old now. I can't believe it's been 4 months since I had my baby boy. He has brought so much joy to our lives. This house would not be the same without him.

He received his shots at his well baby doctor appointment. Of course my big guy took them like a champ and only cried for less then a minute and was back to normal right away. During the night he was a little fussy and wanted to be cuddled.

The following day those shots really took a toll on him. He little thighs were sore from the shots and his temp was elevated but he did not have a fever. I gave him some baby Tylenol and he was fine after that.

He wakes up with a smile on his face. Such a happy baby. He does the baby babble all day. Really loud. You would think that he's having a full blown conversation. Especially if I'm on the phone with my family then he really decides to "talk" loud. I think he knows his family wants to speak with him. lol
