I finally did my taxes today. I used Turbo Tax since it was free for military. I normally go with H&R Block. Both do the same thing. I'm just use to using H&R Block so I continue to stay a loyal customer...Until 2013. lol.

I haven't been discussing much of my life on my blog this last week. I have been having so many other things to do. I started my Spring Semester on Monday and that has been keeping me busy. I'm only taking online classes but they take up a lot of my time.

My husband cut himself at work. He was moving a pipe and didn't realize that another one was sticking out and cut his hand on it. He had to get 8 stitches. Of course the Navy still makes him come to work even though he can't do any work. He just has to be there and sit there. Might as well let him stay at home for a few days if your not going to have him work. That's too much like right so we know that will never happen.

So, now we both have stitches and have limited mobility in our arms/hands. You know, the body parts that we use the most. I laughed about this the other day. I can't lift things and I can't reach high. Jeremy can't use his left hand to hold or pick up anything. Maybe it's time for us to have so children, we need some help around here. lol. My friend has a 2 year old and she can do just about everything. If your cooking she wants to help, if your cleaning she wants to help with that also. It's so cute!

I'm still healing from my Breast Reduction that I had three weeks ago. My healing process is going well. These last few days I had been having pain in my nipples from the rubbing of the undershirt and the surgical bra. I was able to fix that issue and I'm back to normal. I noticed today that my breast are not healing at the same pace. The left one is healing faster. Maybe because i'm right handed and I use the right hand/arm more so it's healing slower? I don't know, but that's my theory!

My life is always a mini roller coaster. I wouldn't trade of any of it. This is the best dang roller coaster ever. Thanks for taking time out of your life to catch up on my life!

I'm always on Pinterest Pinning things. A lot of the projects I never get around to even trying out. I've been seeing a lot of learning activities for children lately. I decided to check them out.

One of my close friends has two toddlers. When ever I come across good information for parents of toddlers, I'm always sure to send it her way. I came across the blog Teaching 2 and 3 year olds. It has some great information. There's so many different activities that are easy to do and fun for you kids. They are all learning activities that you can do at home.

If your a parent of small children, then this is a great blog with tons of learning techniques to help your little ones out. Even working parents are able to do some of these projects without taking up a ton of time or commitment.

For example instead of letting your little a toy to play with, maybe you can put one of their learning games on the high hair after they finish eating so they can have something to play with, all while learning at the same time

I went on Move.mil today to set up our move from Washington. Im looking foward to some sunshine! One more month of this nasty Washington weather. The movers are scheduled to show up on March 1st. Me and my husband might decide to do this move a little sooner but as of now that's our date.

I can't believe it is almost February already. 2013 is moving by fast. I plan to spend a month or two in California with my family and then on to Georgia I will go. I can't win for losing when it comes to weather. I will get to Georgia in June and I'm sure I will have to experience that humidity. It's better then rain plus we will have air conditioning.

I'm trying my hardest to get everything done without stressing. It's very hard! Everyday I'm thinking about something new that I need to take care of. Washington has been home to us since December 2011 so this leaving will be bitter sweet. I will have to move to a new house in a new area.

It always takes some time to get comfortable and make it feel like home. This is the life that me and my husband have both signed up for. I'm going where ever the Navy sends him and I will make sure to make the best of it. It's always an experience. At least I get to experience living in a variety of states. So when he's done with the military we will have a ton of options as to where we want to settle down at.

Sunday Social

1. What is your ideal way to relax?
Laying in the bed watching netflix with the heat on.

2.Where is your favorite place to be?
I'm from San Diego but I'm not big on beaches. I just love being outdoors. No favorite place though.

3. Who do you consider your biggest role model?
I would have to say my Auntie. I have seen her overcome obstacles and she took on the task of raising me, her sisters child. Best person I know!

4. What does your life look like in 3 years?
My husband will have new orders so no telling where we will live at. I'm hoping to start having kids around that time. I also want to have a degree by then. These online classes will pay off someday!

5. If you could go back and change one decision, what would it be?
If I were to change one thing then technically everything would change. It's the domino effect. There for I would not change anything about my past.

6. What is your biggest accomplishment in life thus far?
Becoming a Wife to my husband. I did not ever think I would be able to handle the responsibility of being a wife. It has been a task that I have done a great job with since day one. He goes to work and I take care of every other responsibility that we have.

I want to share a new recipe that I tried last night. If you have children then you would omit the hot sauce from the recipe. I like spicy foods so that made it taste even better!

BUFFALO CHICKEN BITES
Boil Chicken and after it cools then shred it by hand.
Add hot sauce of your choice to the chicken and season to taste.
Make small balls with Chicken
Dip the Chicken ball into the flour
Dip the Chicken ball into the eggs
Dip the Chicken ball into the Corn Flakes
Place on baking sheet and bake on 300 for 20 minutes
When finished served with ranch dressing

My husband and I both loved these chicken bites. They were crunchy on the outside and yummy in the inside. We ate them with fries.

I found this recipe on Notions From Nonny. I changed a few things about it. I'm lactose intollerant so I didnt use the cream cheese that was in the original recipe. I also left out the green onions because she said her family wasn't a fan of the onions and we aren't onion people either.

I've been trying to stick with my 100 calorie snacks. They are better then eating bags of chips and cookies. Still sweet with just a smaller serving size. The smaller size helps me cut back on my intake. If I were to buy a bag of chips It makes me want to keep eating them because I have some much right there in front of me.

The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Treats are delicious! It's small in size and big in taste. I love these little things. I have one in the morning when I'm not in the mood for some breakfast right away. I will still end up having breakfast an hour or two later. This is just a quick snack on the go.

I like dry cereal so this is the perfect little bar. I'm not big on milk with my cereal. I would recommend you try this little snack. I'm not sure if it's something that you would want to give to your kids for breakfast. Probably to sweet as a substitute for breakfast. I use them just as a snack. I love sharing with my blogger friends. That's why I figured I would let you guys know about these little snack bars.

Today was suppose to be the day that I got out of bed and ran some errands. It didn't go as planned because I forgot to check the weather. It has been raining all day out here. Plus it's super cold outside. Depending on where you are from, you might not think that 43 degrees is cold. Well i'm from San Diego and this is cold to me.

I still tried to get a few small things done today. My husband has duty and duty days are the days that I try to be super productive so that the day can go by fast. I'm so behind in a lot of things, such as grocery shopping. I haven't felt well enough to do it. I actually felt good today. I hope tomorrow is a better day and I'm able to catch up on some more things. I'm only a week behind on stuff.

I'm glad that my recovery process has been going so well. I anticipated at least six weeks. So for the new few weeks I will still take it easy and only do what I can.

Today I decided to get out of the house and go shopping. I picked up a few things for the house. I've been wanting to get a nice piece of art to go above our bed. I want to fill that empty space and make my room look nicer. It just feels like I'm missing something.

I went to Ross and TJ Maxx. There's not a lot of options out here in Bremerton, WA. The nearest Ross is 20 miles away in Silverdale. Ross had a ton of pictures and I didn't know which one to pick. I saw a picture of New York and one of Paris. I ended up going with the cutest picture of Paris.

The colors and everything would fit right in with my bedroom right now. Plus If I decide to change my room up later I can still work some colors around my picture. I'm glad that I was able to find a picture to fill that space. I'm not big on decorating my house. Im going to have my husband put this picture up as soon as he comes home from work tonight!

I've just started learning what I like and what I don't like. Decorating is a hard task. When we move we are planning to move into a 3 bedroom house so I'm going to drive myself crazy trying to decorate it!

I'm lactose intolerant but one of my favorite treats is Ice Cream. I know that makes no sense. lol. I've been looking for something besides sherbet. I found this at Trader Joe's. It's dairy free and It's made from soy.

It taste just like Ice Cream and it cost about $4 for a nice size container. It's larger then a pint. They only had two flavors. Cherry Chocolate Chip and Vanilla. I figured I would go with the Cherry because vanilla is plain. If I wanted something plain I would of just went with some Greek yogurt and froze it.

This is one of the best substitutes to Ice Cream that I have found. I've tried a few other ones and they do not compare to this. I'm not even a big chocolate fan but the chocolate pieces are pretty yummy and they do not take away from the Cherry taste. There's also some small pieces of cherries in there also. Those are the best part!

This has been a pretty slow week for me. I've been trying to relax and at the same time take baby steps to get back into a normal routine. I'm going to start volunteering at the homeless shelter at the end of the week. It's been about a month since I've had time to volunteer. This is a way for me to get out of the house, be more social and help others in need!

This weeks Questions: All about 3's

Well I guess I should title this "trying to get back to my normal routine".

I decided to get dress today and go to the mall with my friend for an hour or two just to get out the house. I've been in the house since Friday. I was ready to venture out because I have been feeling better.

My outing did not go as planned. I've been in bed for almost a week now. My body is use to relaxing. As soon as I started walking around the mall I started to feel tired and I felt pain in my side and my breast area and under the breast. My body felt sort of beat up.

I think this is because I haven't had any activity lately. I should of started off easy and just went out to lunch. Now I will know better the next time. I will stay home tomorrow and go to my doctors appointment on Friday. I'm going to see how my appointment goes and see how I feel afterwards.

I have to take everything one step at a time. I had been feeling so good lately that I felt like I was ready to try to do things again. Now I know that I'm definitely not ready. I'm still taking my pain meds and my antibiotics. I will be done with all my medicine on Friday. I'm not looking forward to Friday because I do not know how I'm going to feel when I'm not taking medicine anymore. I hope all the pain will be over and done with. I'm ready for this road to recovery!

I already have a Youtube Channel that's dedicated to my breast reduction, road to recovery. Now I'm going to start up a new blog just for this also. then I can keep this blog as my blog for everything else and I wont flood your news feed with My breast reduction information. I will keep you updated on the new blog. Click HERE for the Youtube Channel.

I had a pretty chill weekend. My friend came over on Sunday so we can watch movies. It was super relaxing. Both of us pretty much slept the whole day together. Im taking my meds which makes me tired and my friend just needed some rest. It worked out perfect. I thought I would fall asleep on her and be a party pooper. Nope! We both fell asleep and enjoyed the sleep. lol

Today is starting off pretty good. I got a ton of rest and woke up really early this morning. Right before my husband left for work. He has duty today so I won't get to see him again until tomorrow afternoon. Im not looking forward to him having duty today because I'm pretty much stuck in the bed all day and im by myself. Im not able to drive because of the medication that im taking.

My body does not feel as weak as I had been feeling these past few days. Today makes 5 days since I've had my breast reduction. Im still pretty sore but not really feeling any pain right now. Im suppose to rest and I've been following those directions. I would like to get out of the house today just for a little bit.

Im going to see if one of my friends would like to have lunch and I also need to stop by the store and pick up a few grocery items. Being out of the house for about an hour or two might do me some good. I've been cooped up in doors for the past 5 days so im in need of some outdoors time. I know I still need to rest and take things slow for the next few weeks.

I have a doctors appointment with my surgeon on friday for a follow up. Im healing up pretty good but im looking forward to seeing him just to make sure im on the right path when it comes to taking care of my body after surgery.

Most companies will start sending out the W-2 forms to their employees this week. They have until January 31st to mail them out. The IRS will start accepting taxes for E-File on January 22, 2013. I know a lot of people submit their taxes and expect a nice refund.

It sucks when you submit your taxes and you anticipate a refund but then your refund is offset. You can call 800-304-3107 to reach the Treasury Offset Department. You should contact them to see if you owe any debts that could be deducted from your refund. The only info you need is your social security number. It's an automated system that is updated daily.

I went to the Doctor today for my next day follow up appointment. I filmed the appointment, so click on my link above to watch the video.

Today I've been a little sore. My pain level is still about a 2 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest. I don't really have any pain. It's all soreness. The doctor had to do a little bit of Lipo on the side of my breast as part of the procedure yesterday, so that area has a lot of tenderness.

Around 4:30 pm I took a two hour nap. That is the most sleep that I have had since surgery.  I don't know why I can't sleep. The medicine makes me drowsy but I don't fall sleep. It's so weird. It's like I feel tired and exhausted but I can't sleep.

I don't have much of an appetite at all. I only ate once today and it's already 10 pm. I plan to have something small and light if I get hungry later. I have been drinking a lot of water. I have to stay hydrated. Here's some before and after pictures. The after pictures I have on my surgical wrap. This will stay on for a week then I will receive a surgical bra that I will wear for 4-6 weeks.
Before

AFTER

I'm not sure if you can really see a difference in the pictures. In person there's a huge difference. My breast are swollen plus they are wrapped tight inside of the surgical wrap that I'm wearing.

Picture of me on my way to my appointment

Today I had my breast reduction surgery. My appointment was for 8:30 am. I got there around 6 am so that they can prep me and get me ready. It was all over at 10:30 am. I was so tired from lack of rest that once they put me out, I was out for good! I didn't wake up till about 12:30 pm. I left the hospital around 1:30 pm, after my ride came to get me.

My husbands duty schedule changed and today he has duty. The appointment was set about a month and half ago so we always knew that was a chance that his schedule would change. He was able to drop me off at the hospital this morning and that meant the world to me.

I was scared, nervous and excited all at the same time. Scared because I was by myself, nervous because I didn't know what to expect and excited to see the results!

My friend Stephanie picked me up and took me to her house for a few hours. My pain level has been at about a 2 since surgery. I've been taken my Oxycodon pills and my antibiotic pill once every 4 hours. This has been keeping my pain level low and I have been laying in bed resting. I've only gotten less then an hour of sleep. I feel tired but my body will not let me pass out. Maybe I slept too much after surgery initially.

I'm not physically restricted from doing too much. I can do light activities starting tomorrow. Right now I've been laying down the whole day unless I need to get up to use the restroom. When I'm standing I tend to feel a little dizzy. I'm sure that will go away tomorrow. I have a follow up with my surgeon tomorrow at 9 am. He has me schedule to see him, one day after surgery, one week, one month and at three months. I will no longer be in Washington State in three months, so my final visit will be with a new surgeon in San Diego.

I took filmed some video clips of myself before and after surgery. I'm going to post the videos on my YouTube Channel that I've dedicated to my Breast Surgery Journey. I probably will not show a full body update until I get to the doctors office tomorrow. It's 8:00 pm and I'm hoping to get more rest and just relax and go see my doctor tomorrow morning. Payless is having a site wide sale plus I have a coupon code for 20% off. They have a ton of boots, flats and heels.

You can save even more by having your shoes shipped to your local Payless store. I shipped some shoes to my local store and it took about 5 days. Once the shoes arrived the sales clerk called me to let me know I could pick my shoes up. This saved me $5.95 for shipping! The 20% off coupon code is 70128

Depending on where you live it's kind of cold right now. I have a ton of fleece blankets to keep me warm. Most of them are fleece tie blankets. I made them myself and it probably cost me a little more then $20 for the fabrics. The coupon code is BLANKET20.

Well York Photo has custom fleece blankets for $20 plus shipping and handling, which is about $5. Regular price is $44.99. These blankets are almost 60% off. The size of the blanket is 40x60. You can pick your own photos to put on the blanket. These are great gifts. I plan to order my grandmother one today. She loves personalized gifts!

Once you are on the website, click on GIFTS and under HOME DECOR click on fleece blankets.

My Husband and I decided to talk about where we want to live when he's done with the military. Rather that be at retirement or in the next 5 years when it's time for him to reenlist again. Of course we didn't agree on any locations yet. lol. but it was nice to hear his ideas and for me to share mines with him.

He would like to live somewhere that will offer him an opportunity to find work based on his current job skills. He does not want to go to college and use his G.I Bill. I know a lot of former military members decide to take this route. If he does not use it, I know he can transfer it to me or our future children(since we don't have any right now)

You should speak to your spouse now about where you guys plan to live when he's done with the military. This will help you to better plan your future. We have time to still think things over. We want to be able to pick our finally duty stationed based on where we want to start our "new" lives at. That way we will already be established in that location. We could buy a house and his transition from active duty to civilian would be a smoother process. We would prefer to not have to move and relocate. That would just make the separation process a little tougher on him.

We have a few ideas that we plan to discuss in the near future. I like to plan things out so I'm going to make sure we have a few different options that we can possibly go with. Start planning now so your not overwhelmed later!

I have notice that there are still a lot of bloggers that have the word verification active. I don't know why. I'm thinking maybe it's because they haven't figured out how to get rid of it. I know it's there to eliminate spam messages but I've never received any spam and mines have been off almost the entire time that I have been blogging. So I figured I would create a post that shows you how to turn the WORD VERIFICATION off.

Step 1: Go to your dashboard and select SETTINGS (on the left side of the screen)
Step 2: Look underneath the settings menu and select POST AND COMMENTS
Step 3: Where it says SHOW WORD VERIFICATION select NO

I just participated in my first BzzAgent Campaign!

The way the program works is, you fill out some surveys to let them know what your interest are. This took me about 45 minutes because I literally filled out ALL the surveys. lol. I knew it would increase my changes to receive a lot of invites to campaigns that they are working on.

After you fill out all of the surveys, they will then start to match you with upcoming campaigns, so that you can try out products that you love. In return for receiving these free products and trying them out you just have to spread the BZZ.

Post on Twitter, Facebook and all other networks that you are on. Let your friends and viewers know about the product that you tried out. That's a pretty good deal. You can receive free products in exchange for a review of the product.

We purchase a lot of cereal in my house. So of course, that's one of the things that I love. Well I got an invite to try out Kelloggs Crunchy Nut Cereal. I can't wait to try it out!

Lets start 2013 off with some new habits...Happy New Year!

Even people with good credit go through credit issues. I had excellent credit a few years ago and then I relocated and I couldn't find stable employment. In the process, my credit had to suffer because I was no longer able to make timely payments anymore.

Once you start to pay something 30 days or more late it will affect your credit score. Sometimes when you get behind it's hard to catch up. Even if you are able to catch up your credit has already taken the plunge.

If you are not able to pay something for a few months then your credit score will drop severely. The company could offer you a debt settlement. This is when they say they will settle your account by taking a lower amount then what the balance due is. Once your credit score goes down it's time to find ways to repair it.

Get a secured credit card.

If your credit is not good then you will have a problem getting approved for a major credit card. You can get a Secured Credit Card.  A secured credit card is where you deposit money on the card and can use it anywhere that accepts credit cards. You can only use what you deposit on there. There's no way to go over your limit.

These types of credit cards reports your payment history to the credit bureau. If you pay it off every month, which should be easy, then they will report to the credit bureau that you are in good standing. This in turn, will boost your credit score. Make sure the credit card company is one that reports to the credit bureau. It's pointless to have a secured credit card that does not report to the credit bureau.

The APR is normally higher on these cards. This is because the lender has to take a higher risk since the card holder has a credit history of not paying on time or not paying at all. These cards for for people that need to rebuild their credit. After 6 months you should check your credit report and see if it made a positive impact. Which it should, as long as you are not incurring any new debt. Seeing your score go up can help you keep paying on time because your seeing your effects pay off.

All negative things on your credit stay there for 7 years. there's no way to erase it. All you can do is build new good credit. Create new habits by only charging what you can afford to pay off. There's no need to carry balances forward if you know you will not be able to pay them later.
